Flavonoid compounds of baikal skullcap display significant anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. While research has focused on the major constituents: baicalin, baicalein and wogonin, synergistic interactions between all constituents naturally occurring in the plant have been found to enhance therapeutic action. Baikal skullcap reduces inflammation, encourages healthy cardiovascular function, and promotes normal cell growth through COX-2 enzyme inhibition. It demonstrates antioxidant activity superior to vitamins C and E. Moreover, baikal skullcap displays antimicrobial effects, non-sedating anxiolytic effects, and offers protection to healthy cells during oxidative treatments.

Baikal Skullcap FSE is potency assured to contain 17-26% baicalein complex and .04-0.9% wogonin.
